For EU businesses
The European Accessibility Act, on your WordPress site
If you sell products or services to consumers in the EU — an online store, bookings, banking, e-books — the European Accessibility Act probably applies to your site. Lumtera helps with the parts that live on it: accessible content, a way to report barriers, an honest statement and a record of the work. General information, not legal advice.
Why it matters now

- EN 301 549 the harmonized standard for websites, built on WCAG; a version aligned with WCAG 2.2 was published in September 2026. Source: AccessibleEU: EN 301 549 has been updated (September 2026)

How it works
A workflow you can repeat
-
Find and fix the common problems
Check every post, page and product against 69 WCAG 2.2 checks, and the rendered page — theme, menus and footer, keyboard included — in review mode.
-
Give visitors a way to report barriers
Add the accessibility feedback form: messages arrive in an inbox with reference numbers, statuses and replies.
-
Publish an honest statement
Generate a statement from the EAA template, based on EN 301 549 or WCAG, with known problems listed by criterion and clause, the enforcement procedure and review dates.
-
Keep a record (Pro)
Set response targets for feedback, keep structured records for a disproportionate burden assessment, and log the work in a tamper-evident evidence log.

Lumtera Pro
What Pro adds

Response targets and burden records
Pro
Set how quickly you aim to answer accessibility feedback, get told when a request is overdue, and keep structured disproportionate burden records.
Tamper-evident evidence log and evidence pack

A dated record of scans, manual tests, statement changes, fixes and feedback, hash-chained so changes can be detected, with a pack you can print or export.
Scheduled page checks
Pro
Your key pages and templates, found for you and checked daily or weekly as a logged-out visitor, with an alert only when new errors appear.
PDF accessibility checks
Pro
Check the PDFs in your Media Library for tags, title, language, scanned pages, bookmarks and restrictive encryption.
Accessibility Conformance Report (VPAT 2.5)
Pro
A WCAG 2.2 A and AA conformance report in the VPAT 2.5 layout, filled in from your checks, manual tests and test sessions, ready to review and export.
Test sessions
Pro
Test each key page template by hand, record the assistive technology and browser used, add screenshots, and sign the results off.

What Lumtera cannot do for you
Lumtera supports your conformance work; it cannot make a site conform or decide whether the EAA applies to you. Microenterprises that provide services are exempt from the service requirements, and each EU country enforces its own law. Check the national law where you sell.
Questions
Something else on your mind? Contact support
Does Lumtera work on multilingual sites?
Yes. Reading level is measured in each post's language with Polylang or WPML, the statement link block points to the statement in the visitor's language, and review mode checks TranslatePress pages as rendered. Vague-link checks work in English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Dutch and Portuguese.
Does my data leave the EU?
Lumtera stores checks, fixes, reports and feedback in your own WordPress database. Nothing is sent anywhere unless you turn on AI suggestions (to the AI provider you connect) or the optional Akismet check. Lumtera Pro also checks its license with the MantraBrain store.
Is an overlay enough for the EAA?
No tool can make a site conform on its own, and an overlay does not change the underlying content. The requirements are met by fixing the site itself.
