Should I use WAVE or Lumtera?

Both, for different jobs. Lumtera keeps content accessible as it is written and tracks the whole site; WAVE gives a quick, independent view of any single page, including ones outside WordPress.

Will the two tools report the same issues?

Many overlap — missing alt text, empty links, missing form labels, contrast. Each also has checks the other does not, and they word findings differently. Neither can find every barrier; manual testing is still needed.

Is there an official WAVE plugin for WordPress?

We could not find one from WebAIM. WAVE runs as a browser extension or through WebAIM's API.
