Find and fix while you write Free
Fixes you approve, with undo
Fix saved content from the Content report or the editor: see the change before and after, edit it, approve it, and undo it later.
Updated for Lumtera 1.2.2 and Lumtera Pro 1.1.1.
Overview
The Fix dialog works on saved content. In the Content report, open an item and choose Fix without opening next to an issue. In the block editor's Lumtera Accessibility sidebar, choose Review fix; if you have unsaved changes, Lumtera asks you to save first so nothing is lost. The dialog says what will change, where it is on the page, and shows the block before and after, with removed and added text marked.
Where the fix needs words, such as alt text, link text, a heading or a frame title, you type or edit them in the dialog before applying. For images, the alt text already in the Media Library is offered when there is one. If the matching AI feature is on, Draft with AI fills in a suggestion marked "AI-drafted — review before applying". Choose Apply fix, or Cancel to leave everything as it was.
Applying changes only that one block, through the block's own attributes or WordPress's HTML Tag Processor, and checks that the rest of the page is byte-for-byte the same. A revision is kept, the page is checked again, and the dialog says whether the issue is gone. Undo is offered straight away. Lumtera will not undo a change if the block was edited since, so later work is never overwritten.
Why does it matter?
Fixing issues one post at a time means opening each post, finding the block and making the change by hand. Tools that fix things in bulk without showing you what they change are worse: you cannot tell what happened to your content, or put it back. Real fixes need to be quick, visible and reversible.
What do you get?
- A Fix dialog that shows exactly what will change, where, and the block before and after.
- You can edit the proposed text, such as alt text or link text, before you apply it, or cancel.
- Each applied fix is saved as a new revision, checked again straight away, and can be undone.
- Content a page builder manages is never written to; Lumtera tells you where to fix it instead.
- Optional Draft with AI for alt text, link text and headings, through your own AI provider: every draft waits for a person and is never applied on its own.
How does it work?
-
Choose the fix
In the Content report, open an item and choose Fix without opening. In the block editor sidebar, choose Review fix.
-
Review it
The dialog shows what will change and the block before and after. Type or edit the text if the fix needs some, then choose Apply fix.
-
Check the result
Lumtera saves the change, checks the page again and says whether the issue is gone. Undo is right there if you want it back.
Who is it for?
-
Working through the Content report
Fix missing alt text or vague links across many posts without opening each one in the editor.
-
Teams that need a record
Each change records who proposed it and who approved it, and every applied fix leaves a revision.
-
AI help without handing over control
Use your own AI provider to draft alt text or link text, then read and edit it before it is saved.
Good to know
How it behaves, what it needs, and where its limits are.
- Which issues it fixes
- Fourteen checks have a fix on saved content: heading levels, extra H1s, empty headings, bold text that should be a heading, five kinds of image alt text issue, new-tab links, frames without a title and three kinds of link text issue.
- Page builders
- Content a page builder manages is never written to. The dialog says which builder to fix it in and links there.
- Permissions
- You can only propose or apply a fix to content you are allowed to edit. If saving as you would make WordPress strip some markup, nothing is saved.
- Revisions off
- If a content type keeps no revisions, the dialog says so before you apply: undo then works only while the block stays as the fix left it.
- Privacy
- Who proposed, approved and applied each fix is included in WordPress's personal data export and removed on erase; the fixes and revisions stay.

Questions
Something else on your mind? Contact support
How is this different from quick fixes in the editor?
Quick fixes change a block while you edit it, and the editor's own Undo reverses them. The Fix dialog works on the saved page, from the Content report or the editor, shows a before and after, keeps a revision and records who proposed and approved each change.
Is this an automatic fixer?
No. Nothing changes until a person reviews the change and chooses Apply fix. An AI assistant can propose a fix, but it cannot apply one.
What does Draft with AI send?
The same data as the matching "Suggest" button in the editor, sent only to the AI provider you connected to WordPress, and only when someone clicks. It is off until an administrator turns that AI feature on.
Can Lumtera Pro apply fixes in bulk?
Lumtera Pro adds a fixes queue for reviewing, applying and undoing many fixes at once. Fixing issues one at a time stays free.
What if the content changed after the fix was drafted?
Lumtera does not guess. If the block no longer matches what the fix was drafted against, the fix is marked out of date and you can draft a new one.
