Live Classes (Zoom / Meet / Classroom)

Attach Zoom, Google Meet, or Classroom links to lessons so learners always click the right place to join — no email hunt.

Why this matters

Blended programs mix recorded content with live sessions. Without a place to store the meeting link inside the course, learners hunt through email at the last minute — and miss class. Instructors get the "what's the link?" support ticket five minutes before the session starts.

What you get

  • Save a video-call URL and label (Zoom / Meet / Classroom) on any lesson.
  • Learners see a "Join live class" button on the lesson page — no email rummaging.
  • Reduces "where is the link?" support traffic to near zero for cohort programs.
  • Works with any video-conferencing tool that gives you a URL — not locked to Zoom.

What it unlocks

  • Per-lesson meeting URL

Each lesson can carry a "Join live class" link with the right meeting ID. Different lessons can point at different meetings.

  • Provider label

Tag the link with Zoom / Google Meet / Classroom / Teams. Learners see the provider name + brand recognition before joining.

  • Cohort-ready

Pair with Content drip + Calendar to ship a "live every Tuesday at 6pm" program where the meeting link is always one click inside the lesson.

How it works

  1. 1

Create the meeting in your tool

Schedule in Zoom, Google Meet, Google Classroom, Microsoft Teams — wherever you run live sessions.

  2. 2

Paste the link into the lesson

Open the lesson in the course builder. Paste the meeting URL into the Live Classes field. Pick the provider label.

  3. 3

    Learners click "Join"

On the lesson page, learners see a prominent "Join live class" button. They click — they're in the meeting.

Frequently asked

Does this create the Zoom meeting?

No — you create the meeting in Zoom (or Meet / Classroom / Teams). Sikshya stores the link and surfaces it inside the lesson so learners can find it without hunting through email.

Can the same meeting link be on multiple lessons?

Yes — useful for a recurring weekly meeting where you reuse the same Zoom room. Paste the URL into every lesson that needs it.

What about recording the live class?

Recording is handled by your meeting tool (Zoom cloud recordings, Google Meet recordings, etc.). After class, paste the recording link into the same lesson as a video to make it on-demand.
